As we step into the new year, the Agency for Extraterrestrial Observation and Surveillance (AEONS) wishes you a happy Unity Day. We extend our gratitude to all those who have planned today’s celebrations in the Sol system and in colonies across the Concordium.
Established to mark the final day of the standardized interstellar calendar, Unity Day represents more than the 365th day of the year; it is a time to reflect our shared commitment to peace, cooperation, and the pursuit of knowledge across the stars.
This year’s celebrations in New Terra City will host Voces from Earth and all 22 colonies. The event begins at noon local time with a commemorative ceremony in the ELE Memorial garden, followed by a Concordium-wide moment of silence for the 1 billion souls who perished during the Silent Skies. The festivities will continue with a parade down Central Avenue, followed by a flyover of the Terran Navy’s Purple Wasps. Please note that NTC airspace will be resctricted during this time.
For AEONS, Unity Day is not just a holiday. It is a reminder of our core mission: to foster Human unity across all of space. This Unity Day also marks the 30-year anniversary of AEONS’ chartering. As we enter 12185, we reaffirm our dedication to the security not just of the Human race, but of all races of the galaxy. We look forward to another year of service to the interstellar community.
Happy Unity Day to all.
Alberta Waymire, Director of AEONS
